If you have already done your research and know that Cutco knives are the way you want to go, then the next step is to decide if you want new or used Cutco knives. It seems a pretty obvious choice to me that you would want to buy new, if you have the money. I mean if you are going to invest in a quality tool, why skimp and buy a second hand hand-me-down from someone else?
Sure, it will work just like it is suppose to because it is a quality tool, but for that very reason the price of the used sets are barely less than the new sets. Is the few dollars you save really going to make a difference? For sanitary purposes alone, I know I would much rather have a new set. Isn’t it better to just have a nice clean set of new knives that no one else has ever used?
If spending the extra few dollars to buy a new set from the manaufacturer is going to make a huge difference in your budget, then it would probably be best that you buy a used set from Ebay. Just be sure to use some kind of industrial sterilization before using them, ok?
