Probably the biggest issue with buying new Cutco knives is that you can’t by them directly from the manufacturer or from a store. Which means that you have to contact a Cutco representative (Sales Guy) and set up a in home demonstration. What an inconvenience!
On top of the inconvenience of having to meet with the sales person, the reps are highly trained in every possible sales trick in the book to get you to buy at that very moment. It’s just not necessary. Cutco knives already have a great reputation and people appreciated quality, so why not cut it (pun intended) with the sales gauntlet.
I guess Cutco figures that if they don’t take an hour or two of your time and get their sales guy to get you all fired up and foaming at the mouth to buy, you won’t pay the apparently high price tag. But if you are reading this, then you are obviously an educated individual who understands the difference between Cost & Price and do not need a sales pitch in order to make a logical decision to invest. I mean what are they trying to do, trick you into buying? An impulse buy? I don’t think anyone wants to be tricked into buying anything. We’re certainly never happy with impulse buys.
